Friends and neighbors,
July is closing, and there are still so many things I want to do with my summer.
This week, I’m chasing the small pleasures of a shady patio, a fan on low, and a perfect midday salad. I’ve rounded up some of my favorites from across Naples to give you inspiration to pick up lunch to go or meet a friend for an afternoon yap.
I’m also revisiting a French favorite to tell you about their small group trips that have just been released for next summer. Touring and eating your way through France, guided by two Parisians who settled in Naples? I can’t think of anything better.
As always, let me know what you’re loving lately. I’m here for your recommendations too!
Here’s to many more good meals,

5 Perfect Summer Salads in Naples
I love baking on the patio all day, writing with just the fan on. And midday, there’s little else I want these days besides a salad for lunch. I’ve rounded up my favorites from around town, both options to eat in with a friend or for ordering takeout. Here are the tops:

1. Rebecca’s Cocktail & Wine Bar – Chopped Salad
This oversized chopped salad is exactly what I reach for when I want flavor and texture. Mixed greens, spiced chickpeas, cured meats, pickled onion, egg, and perfectly seasoned dressing in generous proportions (two meals if you're pacing yourself). Add shrimp or grilled chicken, and it’s a fueling lunch that will reinvigorate your afternoon. Rebecca’s tends to be quiet in the afternoon and perfect for a work break or casual catch-up.
📍2955 Bayshore Drive, Naples, FL • (239) 779-1801
Open for lunch Tuesday through Sunday

2. & 3. Organically Twisted (tie) – Avo-Loco or Curry in a Hurry
A local favorite for good reason, Organically Twisted can do no wrong when it comes to a healthy lunch in North Naples. Crisp produce, decent protein options, and a variety of homemade dressings let you curate your perfect summer plate. For summer, I would pick up their Avo-Loco or the Curry in a Hurry bowl. Both are hearty and filling, while still being green-based. The Avo-Loco has fresh avocados, black bean salsa, and sweet potatoes, topped with my favorite cilantro sauce. The Curry in a Hurry has curried chicken salad with a host of your favorite crunchy veggies that makes it a filling meal.
📍 13040 Livingston Rd #10, Naples, FL

4. Crisp & Green – “No-Prob Cobb” with Jalapeño Green Goddess
The salad place you know and love. As one of Naples’ favorite salad spots, I couldn’t not include Crisp & Green. They are consistently delicious and their “No-Prob Cobb” is a standout, especially drizzled with that jalapeño green goddess dressing that is addictive. Sure, it’s fast-casual, but it’s done well. Perfect when you don’t want to overthink lunch, and you want it to hit every time.
📍8845 Founders Square (Immokalee Rd & 951), Naples, FL

5. Bicyclette Cookshop – Dilly Chop
Maybe Bicyclette isn’t known for its salads, with their inventive small plate menu and fine dining feel. However, the Dilly Chop Salad is a recent obsession of mine: bright, herb-heavy, crunchy, and just enough to start a meal (or simply indulge in two orders if you just need to be sated, like someone at the bar I ran into). Pair it with another small plate and hang out at the bar, it’s another quiet spot to be this summer.
📍 819 Vanderbilt Beach Rd, Naples, FL
If I had to pick one favorite, it would be Rebecca’s Chopped Salad. It’s exactly what you want when you’re craving something bright and very filling.

Chez Boët Is Serving Duck à l’Orange—And French Wine Tours, Too
Tucked into Crayton Cove just a block from the City Dock, Chez Boët has been a staple of Naples. For over twenty years, Lisa and Philippe Boët have been running this French bistro with warmth, precision, and a personal touch that has kept me coming back.
Philippe was born in France and grew up between Bordeaux and Paris; Lisa worked in international relations before turning her attention to hospitality. Together, they’ve created a place that reflects both of those worlds: elegant but welcoming, refined but never stuffy. Step up to the bar and Philippe himself will be there shaking the best Martinis and Cosmopolitans I’ve had in Naples—I’m not kidding.
The food leans toward Provence, rooted in old-world French cooking but updated with local seafood and seasonal produce. My standouts: the duck à l’orange, the classic bouillabaisse, and the slow-cooked Wagyu beef bourguignon. The tarte Tatin is a quiet stunner, and when the piano is playing out on the patio, the whole experience feels staged from a travel memoir. Though French cuisine tends to be rich, meals at Chez Boët never feel heavy.
My favorite part of Chez Boët, besides the ambiance, is also the people. The Boëts bring the same generous spirit to everything they do, including their other passion project: small-group culinary trips through France.
For over 14 years, Lisa and Philippe have been leading intimate food-and-wine tours to regions they know deeply. These aren’t your touristy, hop-on-hop-off bus tours. They’re personal experiences designed to show you the France most visitors miss.

I wanted to write about Chez Boët because they just released the dates for their trips next year. They’re offering two trips, and they always sell out, so I’m putting them on your radar now:
June 2-13, 2026: Bordeaux & the Dordogne – Explore local markets, taste wine with Philippe’s favorite producers, and enjoy countryside meals in the heart of southwestern France. There will be private wine tours, truffle tours, cheese tastings, and tastes of local bistros.
Sept. 10-20, 2026: Champagne & Alsace – A celebration of sparkling wines, storybook towns, and Alsatian cuisine. Vineyard picnics, half-timbered villages, and regional dishes that blend French and German flavors.
Each trip is capped at about 15 people and is built around the local connections the Boëts have cultivated over decades. The price includes all the accommodations, excursions, tastings and meals, but not airfare. These are trips built around a shared love of food where you meet with local winemakers and farmers, learn from chefs, and experience regional traditions. In essence, ideal for the foodies that I know read this. Let me know if you’ve been, or stop by Chez Boët to get to know Lisa and Philippe. You can call Lisa Boët to book or ask questions at (239) 595-7002.
