The Friday Scoop

One more thing you should know before the weekend: $30 will get you two hours of wine tasting around Venetian Bay next month, and every dollar goes to help local animals.

On Saturday, September 12, The Village Shops on Venetian Bay is hosting Wine Around the Water from 5 to 7 p.m. Your ticket comes with a commemorative wine glass and tasting passport, which you'll take around The Village Shops for wine samples throughout the evening.

The $30 ticket also includes a discount card for six waterfront restaurants, should two hours of wine tasting naturally progress into dinner.

And for our many dog lovers, here's the particularly worthwhile part: 100% of every ticket benefits SNIP Collier, a local nonprofit working to prevent pet overpopulation through affordable spay and neuter services while also providing medical care for rescued animals and pets whose families need financial assistance.

Wine, a walk around Venetian Bay and an excuse to help a few dogs and cats along the way. Not a bad return on $30.

The Naples Rental You May Not Want to Leave 🌴

Some Naples trips revolve around the beach. This one might revolve around the house.

Behind the doors is a heated waterfall pool, oversized tropical yard, covered lanai, BBQ grill, and enough outdoor space to turn a lazy afternoon into the plan itself.

You can still hit the Gulf in the morning, wander Fifth Avenue South for lunch, or paddle the Gordon River. But when you come back to your own private pool surrounded by palms and mango trees, heading out again starts to feel optional.

💦 Heated private pool with waterfall
🌴 Huge tropical yard with mango trees
🔥 Covered lanai, outdoor dining + BBQ grill
🥂 Plenty of room for long evenings outside
🐾 Pet-friendly

There is plenty of space inside, too:

4 bedrooms · 2 bathrooms · Sleeps 5–8
2 king beds · 1 queen · 2 twins

And the location keeps you close to downtown Naples, the beach, restaurants, shopping, and paddle access.

The only question is whether you book it for the Naples location or for the pool.

Poll Results: The Naples Views Locals Keep Coming Back To 🌅

We put one simple question to readers: Which Naples view never gets old?

The clear favorite was a glowing sunset, earning 25.75% of the vote.

Palm-lined streets came next at 17.4%, followed by the Gulf horizon at 16.2%. Other responses accounted for 15.6%, while mangroves and waterways drew 14.4% and boats in the marina received 10.8%.

Naples gives you plenty to look at, but when the sky starts changing color over the Gulf, apparently everyone still notices.

Why It Matters

Naples weekends do not always need a big plan. Sometimes it is a sunset worth stopping for, a glass of wine by the water, or an afternoon that turns into dinner because nobody is ready to go home yet.

And when one of those plans also helps local animals along the way, even better. So whether you are staying by the pool, walking Venetian Bay, or just catching the sky over the Gulf, enjoy the weekend you have in front of you.
