The Friday Scoop
One more thing you should know before the weekend: The Continental is celebrating 12 years in Naples with a rather fitting $12 summer bar menu. Through October 12 (in keeping with the theme), the Third Street South steakhouse is offering a short menu of $12 bites and drinks exclusively at the bar.

The menu includes deviled eggs with caviar, oysters gratin, steak sandwich sliders and watermelon gazpacho with shrimp. The most enticing item may be the Wagyu Hot Dog Cuban Sandwich, which takes a Wagyu sausage and piles on the usual Cuban sandwich fixings, then toasts it to perfection. Drinks follow the same $12 theme: a Wheatley Vodka Martini, Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned, Chemistry Lesson and Aperol Spritz, plus generous 9-ounce pours of Zenato Pinot Grigio and Guigal red blend.
The only thing to remember is the parameters: the menu runs noon–2 p.m. and again from 5–9 p.m. daily, and you have to be seated at the bar to order it.
But for $24, you can pair a vodka martini with caviar-topped deviled eggs, and toast 12 years on Third Street. Do with that information what you will.

This Naples Rental Might Become the Itinerary 🌴
You can plan the beaches, dinner reservations, and afternoons downtown.
Then you check into a house with a heated waterfall pool, covered lanai, grill, and private tropical yard, and suddenly nobody is in a hurry to leave.
Start the morning by the Gulf. Grab lunch around Fifth Avenue South. Paddle the Gordon River. Then come back to the kind of place that makes staying in feel like part of the vacation.
💦 Heated private pool with waterfall
🌴 Large tropical yard with mango trees
🔥 Covered outdoor dining + BBQ grill
🥂 Plenty of space for long evenings outside
🐾 Pet-friendly
Inside, there’s room for the whole group:
4 bedrooms · 2 bathrooms · Sleeps 5–8
2 king beds · 1 queen · 2 twins
And when you do feel like heading out, downtown Naples, the beach, restaurants, shopping, and paddle access are all nearby.
The hardest part of the trip might be convincing everyone to get out of the pool.
Poll Results: Where Naples Locals Take Visitors First 🌴
Last week we asked: When friends visit Naples, where do you take them first?

A favorite local restaurant came out on top with 19.1% of the vote.
A local market was close behind at 18.6%, followed by getting out on the water at 17.2% and heading to the beach at 16.7%. Other answers made up 15.3%, while a waterfront walk received 13%.
So apparently, when friends come to town, Naples locals are not rushing straight to the sand. First stop might be somewhere with a menu.
This Week’s Poll:
Which Naples view never gets old? 🌴
Why It Matters
Naples weekends are often best when the plan stays simple. A seat at the bar, a good drink, somewhere worth lingering, and maybe a new reason to revisit a place you thought you already knew.
The Continental turning 12 is a good reminder of that. Even familiar Naples favorites can give us something new to try, and sometimes all it takes is a $12 martini and a plate of deviled eggs to make the weekend feel properly underway.
Have a great weekend, Naples.
