One more thing you should know before the weekend: two of the first Naples restaurants ever recognized by the Michelin Guide are cooking together.
When Michelin expanded its Florida Guide statewide earlier this year, Bicyclette Cookshop and Tong Yin became two of the first Naples restaurants to receive a Michelin recommendation. The restaurants are now partnering for two Michelin Chefs' Potluck Dinners, bringing both kitchens together under one roof.
If you've been to either restaurant, you'll know they couldn't be more different. Bicyclette has built its reputation around seasonal American cooking, while Tong Yin brings bold Thai and Laotian flavors.
The first dinner has already sold out, but tickets are still available for the second on Sunday, July 26.
Rather than a traditional tasting menu, guests will gather at communal tables at Bicycletete while a continuous flow of signature dishes from both restaurants is served throughout the evening, with a welcome cocktail kicking things off at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $90 per person, plus tax, gratuity, and additional beverages.
It's a fun way to mark a milestone for Naples dining. Michelin's arrival put the city on the Guide for the first time, and now two of its first recommended restaurants are sharing the same kitchen.
