I can’t believe it’s already October, and I love all the festive events taking place. 

Here’s the rundown for the week ahead: multiple Oktoberfests are popping up, each with live music, steins, and plenty of bites. The Naples Players are staging Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None, and Hitchcock fans can watch thrilling classics restored on the big screen at Paragon Theaters.

For any outdoorsy folk, check out the full moon walk at Rookery Bay, and live music fiends should head to Whiskey Park this Saturday for a groovy time. If you’d like festive plans for Halloween, Mercato’s Hallowine has tickets available. I hope something catches your eye!

1.  And Then There Were None

2.  Moon Walk: Rookery Bay

See the Rookery Bay Reserve in a new light—moonlight! A Rookery Bay biologist will lead you through a guided walk beneath the full moon. See and hear the habitats that come alive at night. Bring a flashlight, bug spray, and closed-toe shoes for this immersive nature experience. Tickets are $25.

3.  Oktoberfest @ Ankrolab Brewing Co.

📍 Ankrolab Brewing, 3555 Bayshore Dr., Naples

Kick off a festive October this Saturday with German brats and beers at Ankrolab. Stein holding contests take place at 2 PM and 6 PM, and there’s even a beer obstacle course from 3-6 PM. At 6 PM, Florida’s own Gator Nate takes the stage with swampy blues and country funk. Check their socials for more info. 

4.  Souled Out @ Whiskey Park

Motown, soul, and rock & roll take over Whiskey Park when The Ex-Bachelors hit the stage. Order dinner, grab a drink, and dance late into the night with one of SW Florida’s most-loved bands. Check their socials for more info.

5.  Oktoberfest @ The Mini Bar

The Mini Bar is going all in for Oktoberfest with live music from Ralph Curtis, Tito’s cocktail specials, and a local vendor market. Show up in your best Oktoberfest gear and you’ll score a free beer stein. Brookside Beers will be pouring samples throughout the day, so come thirsty. Event Info.

6.  Hitchcock Film Series: Shadow of a Doubt

October is for Hitchcock. Naples Cinematheque and Paragon Pavilion are bringing restored classics back to the big screen all month. Next week features Shadow of a Doubt, followed by Strangers on a Train, Dial M for Murder, and a 4K restoration of Psycho later this month. A rare chance to see suspense the way it was meant to be seen. Tickets.

Hallowine @ Mercato

Celebrate Halloween with wine tastings at 14 Mercato restaurants and bars. Your ticket includes a commemorative glass, a passport, and plenty of bites along the way. Dress up for the costume contest, enter raffles, and snap photos at the interactive booth before the evening wraps with live music and dancing at the brand-new stage in front of Waxin’s. End the night with the big reveal as costume contest winners are announced and prizes handed out. All proceeds fund local projects through Naples Gulf Shore Rotary Foundation, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization.
