The end of January packs in a ton of events. This week? Boats on the water, art in every direction, Broadway-level singing, and at least one opportunity to laugh at someone else’s family drama (from a theater seat, thankfully).

Mercato and the Botanical Garden have art to peruse, and the Boat Show is perfectly browsable without buying a thing. Plus, The Perry has a unique wellness event if you’re still looking for a reset in the new year.

1.   Beau Jest @ Naples Players

If you enjoy fast-paced comedy, awkward family dinners, and watching lies spiral out of control, Beau Jest delivers. The story follows Sarah, who hires a fake boyfriend to impress her parents, a foolproof plan. What follows is a string of misunderstandings, laughs, and a surprisingly heartfelt ending. A fun night out to belly laugh with the family. Tickets are $25-57. 

2.   Naples Boat Show

📍Sugden Regional Park & Naples City Dock, Naples 

The biggest recreational boat show in the Naples area is back. Wander both land and in-water displays, chat with local marinas and dealers, and imagine your future as someone who casually says things like, “We’re thinking of taking the boat out this weekend.” Complimentary shuttles connect locations, making it easy to browse between land and water displays.  General Admission is $15 in advance or $20 at the door. 

3.  Reset Renew Recharge - Health & Wellness Experience

If your January needs a reset, check out The Perry’s wellness morning this Saturday. A full morning of workouts, mindfulness, and extras awaits you, like cold plunge, heat therapy, massages, and fresh juices. Bonus: A portion of proceeds supports Autism Adventure Southwest Florida, and attendees are encouraged to wear shades of blue in support! Tickets on Eventbrite. 

4.   3rd Annual Mercato Art Celebration

This juried outdoor art show brings a carefully curated group of artists to Mercato for a weekend of painting, sculpture, photography, and one-of-a-kind pieces. Whether or not you have empty walls to fill, wandering through visual inspiration will improve your weekend. Event info. 

5.   Plein Air Fest
📅 Saturday, January 24 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍Naples Botanical Garden, 4820 Bayshore Dr, Naples 

Art and nature come together as local artists paint “en plein air” throughout the Garden. Visitors can watch, ask questions, and join hands-on art activities designed for all ages. There are guided programs, chalk murals, journaling stations, and plenty of inspiration if you’d like to spend the weekend getting in touch with your creative side. Event info. 

6.   &Juliet @ Artis—Naples
📅 January 27- Feb 1 | 7:30 PM Performances, 2:00 PM Sunday Matinees
📍Artis—Naples, 5833 Pelican Bay Blvd, Naples 

This Broadway hit asks a simple question: What if Juliet didn’t die at the end? The answer involves pop anthems, witty jokes, and a fresh take on love and independence. Featuring songs by Max Martin (Roar, Since U Been Gone, Baby One More Time), &Juliet is a funny and upbeat Jukebox musical with Broadway vocals. Tickets include same-day admission to The Baker Museum, so arrive early and enjoy the exhibits before curtain time. Tickets.
