Friends and neighbors,
I hope you satisfied some sweet cravings last week. Sometimes, I forget just how many of you take my recommendations! It’s an honor and a privilege that so many of you participate in the polls, share your suggestions, and respond to this newsletter. It has fulfilled an incredible goal of mine: to write about local happenings and explore the world of food.
This week, I’m still on a breakfast kick, presenting a definitive guide to all things breakfast in Naples. I've only covered a handful of Naples’ vibrant breakfast scene and nearly pulled my hair out choosing the best. I selected six top spots, along with an honorable mention.
I also highlighted the Vanderbilt Farmers Market, which kicks off its fall season this Saturday. Consider it post-breakfast inspiration.
Thank you for being here!
Regards,

Breakfast for Every Craving: Pancakes, Omelettes and Hash, oh my!
Covering donuts got me thinking about the rather sad state of affairs that is my usual morning breakfast: a half-frozen bagel reheated or a few spoonfuls of plain Greek yogurt eaten while standing in the kitchen. Despite being the most important meal of the day, my breakfast is often sacrificed for an extra 20 minutes of sleep.
This past week, I explored the best breakfast options around town, aiming to give our morning meal the dignity it deserves. I’ve compiled this list for your breakfast inspiration.

5. The Rooster
📍 600 Goodlette Rd N, Ste 101
🌐 theroosternaples.com
The Rooster tops nearly every local list, and for good reason. Southern comfort meets scratch cooking in a cozy, bustling space with outdoor seating, too. It feels like a neighborhood kitchen (that happens to serve some of the best fried chicken in town).
What to get: Fried chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits, or their biscuit sandwich.

4. Goldie’s Restaurant
📍 5400 Taylor Rd STE 105
🌐 goldiesrestaurant.com
Goldie’s is a beloved local gem known for its hearty American breakfasts and warm, welcoming atmosphere. This cozy spot has garnered a loyal following from the friendly service and consistently delicious fare.
What to get: The Ultimate Breakfast (a massive platter featuring four eggs, French toast or pancakes, sausage gravy, potatoes, bacon, and sausages), Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, or the Goldie’s Breakfast Combo (pancakes, Belgian waffles, or French toast paired with eggs and bacon or sausage).

3. House of Omelets
📍 1201 Piper Blvd
🌐 houseofomeletsnaples.com
The name says it all: if omelets are your preferred brunch, this should be your top spot. The plates are huge, the fillings are generous, and it’s exactly the kind of no-frills breakfast joint where you can grab a filling meal to fuel your day.
What to get: The five-egg omelet with spinach, feta, and mushrooms (big enough to share).

2. Blueberry’s
📍 3350 Tamiami Trail N
🌐 blueberrysrestaurantnaples.com
Blueberry’s serves exactly the comforting diner you need some mornings. Big plates, endless coffee, and pancakes that keep people coming back decade after decade. If you’re feeding a group or just want a laid-back breakfast with pancakes, this is the spot.
What to get: Blueberry pancakes (no surprise there) or their cinnamon roll French toast.

1. Cove Inn Coffee Shoppe
📍 900 Broad Avenue South
🌐 coveinnnaples.com
Quaint, nostalgic, and right on Naples Bay, The Coffee Shoppe at Cove Inn is an institution. With just a few tables, it gets busy, but the delicately thin pancakes are legendary. This is quintessential old Naples, and yes, they are still cash only, so hit up the atm before you go. Expect a bit of a wait in season, but the tables turn quickly.
What to get: A short stack of pancakes with bacon or the corned beef hash.

Honorable Mention: Country House
📍2206 Davis Blvd
🌐chr239.com
Country House is easy to miss, although you’ll find it’s filled to the brim on the weekends. Old-school, family-run, and friendly as can be, it’s all about hearty, classic breakfasts that stick to your ribs. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the service is. It’s satisfying comfort food done right.
What to get: Biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash, or their five-egg omelets if you’re extra hungry.
I hope you’re not drooling too much by the end of this, and if you’re like me, you can give some more dignity to breakfast by sitting down and enjoying the fare at one of these spots.
Where to Spend Saturday Morning in Naples: Vanderbilt Farmers Market

After you’ve gone and had a wonderful breakfast at any number of the restaurants above, filled with apple pancakes, a corned beef hash, or even a saucy eggs benedict, make your way to Vanderbilt Farmers Market. This is North Naples' largest, longest-running, year-round Farmers market. It’s also pet-friendly and has a load of vendors and happens every Saturday from 8 AM – 1 PM, suiting both early birds and the 11 AM wake-up warriors. They’ll have over 90 vendors during the seasonal market, Oct-May.
Here, there’s the gamut of options. You have your classics, like sourdough for the week, locally grown produce, flowers, and honey. But you can also grab artisanal granola from Babcock Granola Babes, personal care products, candles (many options, but have to shout out Naples Candle Company), and even adopt a golden retriever. Golden Retriever Rescue of Florida stops by every week, with fluffy “ambassadogs,” a pet-able sales pitch to adopt from this organization. (Not adopting? You can also volunteer if you have a dog-sized hole in your life!)

There’s plenty of premade food too. Sprout Salad is a local salad kit business with seasonal greens and scratch-made dressings, where you can get prepped salads.
Neighborhood Organics Market & Café (who also runs the market!) does breakfast sandwiches, and they’ve always got other goodies for the fridge or freezer so you’re stocked for the week. At Landert Bread, croissants are fresh, and baguettes vanish early. You can also get fresh seafood and any number of artisan-made goods.
By the time you leave, your tote bags are heavy, your dog is happily tired, and your week is set up with a little bit of everything: food, flowers, and maybe even a new four-legged friend.

Poll Results: Sashimi Showdown?
Last week’s poll asked: No matter if you’re picking up or dining in, where are you headed for sushi in Naples?
Here’s where you landed:

"Sushi One! Try the tacos" — R.R.
"Lola41!!" — J.P.
"Ninja because Namba is so overrated" — A.E.
Lots of love came through for Ninja and Sushi One, while Dusk and Namba were tied for first place. Thank you for your responses!
This Week’s Poll: Your Breakfast Favorites
I left a lot of fan favorites off the list because there are so many great breakfast options in Naples. Now is your turn to tell me who I snubbed!
From restaurants I didn’t cover, who serves your favorite breakfast?
Why It Matters
A great breakfast is more than a meal. It sets the tone for the day, supports local kitchens, and keeps neighborhood spots thriving in the slower months. Your choices here shape which mom-and-pop counters stick around, which bakers fire up early, and which farmers haul in fresh greens on Saturday.
When we eat local and shop at the market, we keep dollars close to home, strengthen community ties, and make Naples feel a little more like the place we all want to live.
Until next time,
